Olivia Sims focused on graphic design, PR, branding, and all advertising-related deliverables leading up to the Spring 2023 CFE.3 event. Over the course of three months, she balanced her role as Director of The Fashion Network (TFN) and full-time student responsibilities while managing all visual and promotional aspects of the event.
Sims played a key role in the rebranding of CFE.3, working closely with the creative team to develop and execute the event’s runway theme, Danse Macabre: An Allegory on Horror. She collaborated with the Creative Director of Styling to create mood boards that guided the styling of TFN runway models, and communicated these details to other designers and agencies involved in the event.
Sims also designed a new logo and executed all branding elements, including a complete overhaul of the CFE.3 Instagram account. She implemented a black-and-white theme with unified design elements and managed all content, from Instagram posts to event copy, ensuring effective communication with followers consistently prior and during the event.
Additionally, Sims designed posters, banners, and a physical program detailing the event schedule and credits for performers, models, photographers, and other contributors. These materials were distributed at both the venue and across campus. She also contributed to the TFN runway soundtrack, offering music suggestions that were incorporated into the final version.
During the event, Sims co-directed the TFN runway segment, overseeing models and ensuring the flow of the show. She attended all rehearsals and directed her assigned group of models on show day. In addition, Sims styled and walked in the executive board member runway segment alongside other directors.
Sims was primarily responsible for designing all advertising-related materials, deliverables, posters, banners, the program, graphics, etc. for the day-of and in preparation for the fashion-oriented event.
